Two For Tapas, Tapas For Two

A friend and I recently visited Mojito Tapas Restaurant for dinner. It's one of my favorite places! Here are some of the delicioso items we had, featured on the dinner menu:

Albóndigas (Meatballs)–Spanish style meatballs. Seasoned ground Angus beef, pork and Spanish chorizo. Served in a wine tomato sauce. Topped with Manchego cheese snow.
Guacamole – Avocadoes, tomatoes, cilantro, roasted peppers, red onions and lime juice. Served with plantain chips.
Trio de Hummus – Black bean hummus, chickpea hummus and roasted pepper hummus served with olives, almonds, pine nuts, tomatoes, onions, sumac, olive oil and parsley. Served with pita bread.

Raviolo – House made stuffed ravioli with ricotta, capriole goat cheese, chorizo, Serrano ham and marcona almonds. Topped with tomato confit and Manchego cheese.
Datiles Rellenos (Stuffed Dates) – Roasted stuffed dates with Capriole goat cheese wrapped in apple wood bacon topped with smoked honey and piquillo sauce.

Gambas al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp) – Plump shrimp sautéed with garlic, olive oil and finished with lime juice. Served with garlic aioli, fresh salsa and bread.

So good but sooo bad!!

As much as I love trying new foods and getting out there and experiencing different things, I'm soooo glad there are yummy American goodies to satisfy my fat food cravings. Yes, fat food. Not fast food. Fat... Cheesy, chili, carb-filled, melty, yumminess!
What is it you ask?
Chili's Texas Chili Cheese Fries.

There is nothing remotely healthy about this. But it's just the best thing EVER! Try them.

Ice Cream, Ice Cream, We All Scream For...Cefiore?

It's serious delicious refreshment. Thanks to my sister I know what I've been missing. It's not ice cream it's non-fat frozen yogurt and it's sooo good! They have great flavors and everything is all natural so it's  good for. Cefiore started out in Southern California and now they have stores all over the world. They have a store here in Louisville located on the corner of Bardstown Road and Eastern Parkway right next to Qdoba.
They have great flavors: Raspberry Pomegranate, Pineapple Tart, Green Tea, and Acaiberry. Top with your favorite topping which can be anything from fresh cut fruit to shredded coconut and chocolate chips. They also serve waffles, smoothies, teas, and coffee. They offer samples if you can't decide which flavor to enjoy. The pineapple tart was really refreshing but I opted for the raspberry pomegranate frozen yogurt. I topped it with fresh strawberries, coconut and white chocolate chips. It was SO GOOD!

I wanted to get a good picture but couldn't wait to dig in. It was calling my name!

Check them out at: www.cefiore.com
Then go see them at their store and try it for yourself! I will definitely be going back for more. Maybe tomorrow?
